Description

Western Australia Micromussa

Transform Your Tank with Aussie Color You Can Spot Across the Room

Looking for a Micromussa with serious color? Western Australia pieces have a reputation for some of the boldest color patterns in the hobby, often with several contrasting colors on one colony. Under blue reef lighting, every polyp looks sharp and saturated. Micros from Western Australia come available less often than Indo pieces, so this rare Micromussa is a real find at The Coral Boutique.

Micromussa have tight, fleshy polyps that pack close together, so even a small frag looks full. It grows slowly and encrusts, adding heads across the rock until it forms a dense colony of color. Place it low in the reef tank or on the sand bed with low to moderate flow and PAR around 50 to 150 so the polyps stay puffed. Leave a few inches around it, because it puts out sweeper tentacles at night.
