Description

Rainbow Hologram Hammer Coral

Typical needs for this coral type. Ask us if you're unsure.

Transform Your Tank with Living, Light-Shifting Color

Looking for a showpiece that commands attention... The Rainbow Hologram Hammer is one of the most visually striking Euphyllia variants in the hobby — its single head displaying an iridescent shimmer that shifts between electric greens, deep purples, pinks, and gold depending on your lighting angle. This isn't a standard hammer; the holographic color play is the result of selective aquaculture lineage that produces an effect rarely seen outside of high-end collector tanks. Single-head frags of this caliber move fast, and availability is always limited at The Coral Boutique.

As a single-head specimen, this frag gives your reef tank a focused, sculptural focal point while leaving room for it to branch and grow over time — Euphyllia ancora are known slow-and-steady growers that reward patient aquarists with genuinely impressive colonies. The long, flowing tentacles create a mesmerizing wave motion in moderate current, and the sweeping movement adds a dynamic energy to any saltwater aquarium. Hammer corals also have a satisfying personality: semi-aggressive sweeper tentacles keep neighboring corals honest, so placement matters and makes the aquascaping challenge worthwhile.

QUICK STATS & CARE GUIDE

  • Common Name: Rainbow Hologram Hammer Coral
  • Current Size: Single head (approx. 1–1.5 inch polyp)
  • Care Level: Moderate
  • Temperament: Semi-aggressive (extended sweeper tentacles; keep 6+ inches from neighbors)
  • Diet: Photosynthetic; benefits from occasional target feeding of mysis shrimp, coral-specific foods 1–2x per week
  • Reef Safe: With caution — maintain adequate spacing from other corals
  • Water Conditions: Temp 76–80°F | Salinity 1.025–1.026 | pH 8.1–8.3 | Alkalinity 8–10 dKH | Calcium 400–450 ppm | Magnesium 1250–1350 ppm | Moderate flow | Moderate lighting (PAR 75–150)

WHY BUY FROM THE CORAL BOUTIQUE?

Every coral we ship is ethically sourced, fully quarantined, and conditioned in our Miami facility — we don't box anything until it's acclimated, healthy, and thriving under our care. When your Rainbow Hologram Hammer arrives, it's ready to settle in, not recover.

WYSIWYG on Select Items

If this coral is in our WYSIWYG collection and has one in stock, the photos show the exact frag or colony that ships to you. Otherwise, the photos may be representative.

Shipping & Pickup

Coral orders ship Monday through Wednesday. We confirm a delivery day with you before your order goes out, and we will hold it if the weather is bad or a coral needs more time in quarantine.

Coral orders over $399 qualify for free shipping. Fish orders over $599 qualify for free shipping. Free same-day Miami pickup is available at 46 NW 36th St and is usually ready in 1–2 hours.

Live Arrival Guarantee

Eligible coral orders are covered by our Live Arrival Guarantee. Photograph the coral in its sealed bag before you open anything, then email that photo with your order number within two hours of delivery. Our team reviews every claim and gets you an answer within one business day.

Acclimation

For best results, acclimate slowly and place new corals in lower light and flow before moving them to their final position. Coral response can vary depending on tank stability, lighting, flow, and water parameters.

Photography

We photograph our corals in house, up close, so you can judge color, shape and polyp extension. For WYSIWYG listings with one in stock, the photographed coral is the exact coral that ships.

SHOT IN HOUSE
