Transform Your Tank with Orange and Gold Flower Pot Color
Looking for a goni with warm color? The Ring of Fire Goniopora opens into a cluster of long polyps in orange and gold around green centers, and the whole frag sways with the flow. This frag is from Indonesia. Color varies a little from piece to piece, so ask us for a photo of yours.
Goniopora is one of the more demanding LPS corals, and it's rated Advanced for a reason. Gonis tend to decline slowly in tanks that aren't ready for them, so this is a coral for an established reef tank with steady alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium. Give it moderate lighting and moderate, indirect flow, then feed fine foods such as phytoplankton or coral powders two to three times a week. When it's happy, the polyps stay extended through the day. If your system is still new, hold off on this one until it's stable.
