Description

Dragon Tamer Torch Colony (8–11 Heads)

Typical needs for this coral type. Ask us if you're unsure.

Transform Your Tank with a Statement Torch Colony Worth Coveting

Looking for a centerpiece coral that commands attention... The Dragon Tamer Torch is one of the most sought-after Euphyllia variants in the hobby — a cultivated designer morph prized for its dramatic, sweeping tentacles and the rich, multi-tonal coloration that makes it instantly identifiable in any reef tank. With 8–11 fully developed heads, this is not a frag or a starter piece — it's a mature, thriving colony ready to become the focal point of your saltwater aquarium.

Torch corals are large polyp stony (LPS) corals with generous, flowing movement that adds mesmerizing life to any marine aquarium. This colony will continue to grow and bud new heads over time, rewarding patient aquarists with an ever-expanding display. While torches have a reputation for being semi-aggressive — extending sweeper tentacles at night — thoughtful placement gives them plenty of space to thrive without conflict, making them a deeply satisfying long-term addition to any mature reef system.

If this coral is in our WYSIWYG collection and has one in stock, the photos show the exact frag or colony that ships to you. Otherwise, the photos may be representative.

Shipping & Pickup

Coral orders ship Monday through Wednesday. We confirm a delivery day with you before your order goes out, and we will hold it if the weather is bad or a coral needs more time in quarantine.

Coral orders over $399 qualify for free shipping. Fish orders over $599 qualify for free shipping. Free same-day Miami pickup is available at 46 NW 36th St and is usually ready in 1–2 hours.

Live Arrival Guarantee

Eligible coral orders are covered by our Live Arrival Guarantee. Photograph the coral in its sealed bag before you open anything, then email that photo with your order number within two hours of delivery. Our team reviews every claim and gets you an answer within one business day.

Acclimation

For best results, acclimate slowly and place new corals in lower light and flow before moving them to their final position. Coral response can vary depending on tank stability, lighting, flow, and water parameters.

Photography

We photograph our corals in house, up close, so you can judge color, shape and polyp extension. For WYSIWYG listings with one in stock, the photographed coral is the exact coral that ships.
