Description

Tiger Knicks Torch Coral

Typical needs for this coral type. Ask us if you're unsure.

Transform Your Tank with One of Reefkeeping's Most Coveted LPS

Looking for a showstopper that commands attention... The Tiger Knicks Torch is a collector-grade Euphyllia glabrescens morph prized for its striking two-tone tentacles — bold amber-gold tips fused with deep contrasting bases that pulse hypnotically with the current. This is not a coral you stumble upon at your local shop. Sourced exclusively through The Coral Boutique, it represents the kind of rare, high-demand piece that sells out fast and photographs like nothing else in your display.

Torch corals are beloved for good reason — beyond their visual drama, they develop a genuine presence in a reef tank, with long flowing tentacles that extend fully under stable conditions and retract protectively when needed. They're a deeply rewarding long-term addition, capable of growing into impressive multi-head colonies over time, and their sweeping movement brings a living, breathing energy to any saltwater aquarium that no artificial décor can replicate.

QUICK STATS & CARE GUIDE

  • Common Name: Tiger Knicks Torch Coral
  • Current Size: 1–2 heads (single polyp colony)
  • Care Level: Moderate
  • Temperament: Semi-aggressive (uses sweeper tentacles; provide adequate spacing from neighbors)
  • Diet: Photosynthetic; benefits from supplemental target feeding of meaty foods such as mysis or reef roids 1–2x per week
  • Reef Safe: Yes, with caution (keep clear of neighboring corals)
  • Water Conditions: 72–78°F, salinity 1.025–1.026, pH 8.1–8.3, dKH 8–12, moderate lighting and moderate flow

WHY BUY FROM THE CORAL BOUTIQUE?

Every specimen from The Coral Boutique is ethically sourced, fully quarantined, and conditioned in our facility until it's actively opening and thriving before it ever ships to you. When you buy Torch Coral online, this is the standard of care your reef deserves.

WYSIWYG on Select Items

If this coral is in our WYSIWYG collection and has one in stock, the photos show the exact frag or colony that ships to you. Otherwise, the photos may be representative.

Shipping & Pickup

Coral orders ship Monday through Wednesday. We confirm a delivery day with you before your order goes out, and we will hold it if the weather is bad or a coral needs more time in quarantine.

Coral orders over $399 qualify for free shipping. Fish orders over $599 qualify for free shipping. Free same-day Miami pickup is available at 46 NW 36th St and is usually ready in 1–2 hours.

Live Arrival Guarantee

Eligible coral orders are covered by our Live Arrival Guarantee. Photograph the coral in its sealed bag before you open anything, then email that photo with your order number within two hours of delivery. Our team reviews every claim and gets you an answer within one business day.

Acclimation

For best results, acclimate slowly and place new corals in lower light and flow before moving them to their final position. Coral response can vary depending on tank stability, lighting, flow, and water parameters.

Photography

We photograph our corals in house, up close, so you can judge color, shape and polyp extension. For WYSIWYG listings with one in stock, the photographed coral is the exact coral that ships.
