Manganese Supplement: Vital Micronutrient for Coral Health & Growth

Support the metabolic health and coloration of your reef with our high-purity Manganese supplement. Manganese plays a crucial role in coral enzyme function, aiding in photosynthesis, skeletal development, and pigmentation, especially in LPS and SPS corals.

Manganese is rapidly depleted in reef systems and should be replenished regularly to maintain stable, natural seawater conditions.

Recommended beginning dosage is 0.2ml per gallon of water per week.

DIRECTIONS:

1. Before dosing product, an ICP test should be completed to assess current tank trace element levels and target levels.
2. See dosing calculation below to obtain the dosing amount for your tank based on the current and target levels. 
3. Pick a dosing method (see suggested methods below) and dose accordingly. Dosing should occur in high flow areas, and can be done over a period of time (recommended). 
4. Complete another ICP test in a month to understand trace element depletion levels in your tank and determine how much you should dose to maintain trace levels. 

DOSING CALCULATION

1mL of Manganese solution will raise Manganese levels by 15 micrograms in a 100 gallon reef tank.

To adjust for your tank size, you can use the following formula:

Dose (mL) =         Desired Increase (µg/L) × Tank Volume (gal)     
                          Product Strength (µg/L per mL in 100 gal) × 100

Where:

• Tank Volume (gal) = your tank’s real water volume
• Product Strength =

• 15 µg/L per mL in 100 gal

Examples

1. To raise Manganese by +3 µg/L in a 300 gal tank 

• Desired increase = 3

• µg/L 
• Strength = 15

• µg/L per 1 mL in 100 gal

            DOSE =      3 x 300     =    900   =  0.6 mL
                             15 × 100          1500

      2. To raise Manganese by +3 µg/L in a 50 gal tank 

• Desired increase = 3

• µg/L
• Strength = 15 

• µg/L per 1 mL in 100 gal

DOSING METHODS:

Recommended Method: Mix the recommended dose into Perfect Corals Complete Tank System to dose with the 2-part solution daily. Each trace element can be added to the corresponding bottle of our Complete Tank System that contains the specific Trace Element for an added boost to your tank supplementation. 

By Hand: Can be dosed directly into your tank by hand in a high flow area, using the included dropper or with a separate measuring tool over a minimum of a 2-3 day period. 

2 Day dosing: Add 2/3 of the total recommended dose on day 1, 1/3 of the recommended dose on day 2 

3 Day dosing: Add 1/3 of the total

recommended dose each day for 3 days

Add into Dosing Container: Can be added to a dosing container. To extend the dosing schedule, the product can be mixed with RO/DI water into a dosing container.
