Description

A simple way to dose all of the critical trace elements essential to coral growth and coloration.

TANK PARAMETERS / IDEAL CALCIUM LEVELS

Before starting your trace system, ensure that your tank parameters are within healthy ranges. Ideal salinity level is as close as possible to 1.026 or 35 ppt.

The recommended dosing is based on calcium consumption. Recommended ideal calcium level to maintain a healthy reef aquarium is between 430–450 parts per million (ppm). For instructions on dosing by calcium, see calcium consumption dosage instructions below.

DOSING BY CALCIUM CONSUMPTION

  1. Determine your tank’s daily calcium consumption and current trace element levels. An ICP test is recommended to accurately determine the existing levels of trace elements in your tank.

  2. The suggested formula to determine dosing is:

Drop in calcium per day (in ppm) × aquarium size (in gallons) × 0.0035 = daily suggested dose in mL for each part of the system.

Example:
10 ppm × 300 gallons × 0.0035 = 10.5 mL
