Description

RARE XXL Blueface Koi Tang (Show Size)

Transform Your Tank with a One of One Living Centerpiece

Looking for the tang that stops people mid-sentence when they walk past your display? The Blueface Koi Tang is exactly that. Every one carries its own hand-painted patchwork of orange, ink-black, and clean white, and no two are ever marked the same. This is a rare XXL specimen, already grown into full show size, with the kind of bold blue-washed face and dense koi patterning that collectors wait years to land.

At this size the personality is just as big as the presence. It cruises the open water with confidence, grazes constantly across rock and glass, and earns its keep as one of the hardest-working algae grazers in the reef. Drop it into an established tank and it settles in fast, holding court as the undisputed anchor of the aquascape.

WHY BUY FROM THE CORAL BOUTIQUE?
Every living specimen we ship is ethically sourced, quarantined, and conditioned in our own systems. This tang is eating well, swimming strong, and fully settled before it ever leaves our facility, so what arrives at your door is a healthy, display-ready showpiece, not a gamble.

Fish Health

Our fish are selected with appearance, behavior, and feeding response in mind before being listed. We aim to offer healthy, alert specimens for established saltwater systems.

Compatibility

Please confirm this fish is compatible with your tank size, current livestock, temperament needs, and reef goals before ordering. If you are unsure, contact us before checkout and we’ll help you choose responsibly.

Live Arrival Guarantee

Eligible fish orders are covered by our Arrival Guarantee. If there’s an issue on arrival, email clear photos within 4 hours of delivery so our team can review and help. Failed delivery attempts, refused packages, or missed delivery windows may void coverage.

Acclimation

Acclimate fish carefully and introduce them into a stable, established saltwater aquarium. Match temperature and salinity slowly, keep lights low during introduction, and monitor behavior closely after release.

Photography

We photograph our fish under balanced, aquarium-safe lighting to accurately represent their true coloration and patterning. Our goal is to show how each fish will appear in a home reef or marine setup—not under overly blue or altered lighting.

Because fish are active and constantly moving, images are representative of the species and quality you can expect. Every fish is carefully selected for health, coloration, and temperament before shipping.
