The Banana Slug Acro is a staghorn Acropora with neon green polyps over bright yellow and orange corallites, finished with a purple growth tip. Under reef lighting the whole branch glows. It's the kind of color that makes an acro tank, and at The Coral Boutique we have just one in stock.

This piece is a single branch frag on a plug, ready to mount in your reef tank. Staghorn Acropora grow upward and outward into branching colonies, so with stable water and strong light this frag becomes a tree shaped centerpiece over time. Give it room to branch, high flow and consistent alkalinity, and expect the color to deepen as it settles in.

QUICK STATS & CARE GUIDE

Common Name: Banana Slug Acro, Staghorn Acropora
Current Size: Single branch frag on a plug
Care Level: Expert
Lighting: High (PAR 250 to 400)
Flow: High, random and turbulent
Temperament: Peaceful, keep clear of corals with long sweeper tentacles
Diet: Photosynthetic, benefits from amino acids and fine coral foods
Reef Safe: Yes
Water Conditions: 76 to 80°F, salinity 1.025 to 1.026, pH 8.1 to 8.3, alkalinity 8 to 9 dKH, calcium 420 to 450 ppm, magnesium 1300 to 1400 ppm, low and stable nutrients
Minimum Tank Size: 40 gallons, mature SPS system
Origin: Aquacultured

WHY BUY FROM THE CORAL BOUTIQUE?

At The Coral Boutique, we specialize in ethically sourced, healthy and exceptionally rare saltwater aquarium specimens.
